Lake House> Lilian's Room

Lilian lay sleeping. She dreamt of being back in France as a little child. As the memories flooded back to her mind, her eyes flew open. She looked around and saw she was in her room. She layed back down and watched the ceiling.

She gets up and walks over to a stereo system. She picks up a burned cd and puts it to play. Symphonic music starts to play, she smiles hearing it. She takes a starting position and as ppercussion instruments begin playing, Lilian starts dancing. She does a whole dance without breaking a sweat. The track switches to a mixed track that she had spent hours making for her next dance recital. She quickly runs over to the music player and pauses the music. She scrambles around the room looking for the nerf sword she always kept in that room. She found it and set in on the bed. She restarts the song and goes back to her starting position. The music started off as a soft sweet symponic piece. After about a minute of dancing to that, it switched to latin and Lilian started merengue dancing. The music stops and she runs to go get the sword returning to a different position, holding the sword like a samurai. The music started again playing a more fuedal Japan type music. She does graceful moves twirling the foam sword around careful not to let it touch her, as if it was a real sword. When that music ended there was another break and she threw the sword onto the bed. the music started playing a hip hop song and Lilian danced to it. The song switched a couple of other times, She danced approiately for each song. The music finally ended on a hip hop song and Lilian ended her dancing turned sideways, kneeling on her right knee, her left hand holding a pretend hat on her head, her right arm laying across her left leg, and her head turned slightly to the left.

Before the tracks switched, Lilian stood up and turned it off. She was sweating and out of breath. She took the cd out and put it away in her ballet cd case that she took everywhere with her. She walked over to a wall that was covered with pictures. Her eyes drifted among them until they stopped on one of her, Valos, and Violet. The picture was taken by her mom when they had all gone on a trip to the zoo as kids. Lil was about 12 in the pic. Valos was carrying her on his back and Vi was holding onto the them from the side. Lilian had a huge smile on her face and showed the camera a peace sign. Valos was shaking his head and Vi was sighing. Lilian remembered that day. She was trying to reach her hat that had been blown into a tree. So in order to get an dnot ask for help, she stood on some railing. She got her hat but as payment she fell and sprained her ankle. Valos had to carry her around the rest of the day. He was pretty mad after that. Lilian smiled remembering all the good times with her friends.

She walked over to her bed and sat down on the edge, swinging her feet. She glanced at the time. 4 in the morning. She layed down perpendicular on the bed. staring at the spinning ceiling fan. Her eyes followed one blade as it went round and round. When she came out of her trance she looked out the window at the moon. It had finally stopped raining and the night sky was clear. She wanted to go outside but figured that Violet and Valos would think she is running away again. She couldn't do that. She got up and walked over to the window, sitting down in a wicker chair, staring at the moon. It entranced her as she seemed to stare off at it. After a while she layed her arms on the sill and rested her on top, still staring at the sky. After a few minutes, her eyes closed and she dozed off.

As Lilian slept by the window, the moonlight illuminated her face. She flinched in her sleep. She was dreaming. She couldn't tell if she was having a nightmare of a good dream, they normally switched in her dreams.

In her dream she was in ancient Greece, wearing the greek clothing. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a braided bun. She looked very poised and as she walked through the streets of Athens, people seemed to stare at her as if she were a goddess. Well she was, the goddess of mischief as a child pointed out on the side as his mother pulled him inside their home. Some people hid while others just stood as watched. She walked towards the statue of Athena at the center of the town. She looked at it and walked away not even saying a word. She walked into a house where two people welcomed her with open arms. She gave them hugs and offered her some food. She declined as she only ever ate ambrosia and drank nectar. She watched as the couple set a table and set out food. The goddess stood back by the door watching silently.

The scene switches and it looks as if a horrible fight had just ended. The goddess stood next to a crumpling statue of Athena holding onto a bow loaded with an arrow. A man stood next to her. He looked like a teenager, just as she did. He bared a remarkable resemblance to another goddess, Artemis. That could have only been one person, Apollo. He too held a bow in his hand. Kris, as the goddess was nicknamed, pointed her arrow at two men holding swords. Apollo pointed his at Kris. There was tension and then Kris let her arrow fly and struck both men at once. As Apollo saw that he let go of his arrow and it headed straight towards her. Suddenly a sheild appeared and blocked the arrow. Apollo smirked and ran over to Kris whose sheild had disappeared almost as fast as it had appeared. They shared a silent conversation before laughing. Kris snapped her fingers and the city was back to normal, like no fight had ever happened. Athena was going to be pretty pissed. Apollo wrapped one of his arms around her waist as they walked side by side to the sun chariot. Kris got in followed by Apollo. The two of them took off and headed west as the sun should. Kris had her head on Apollo's should and she slept.

The scene changed yet again. This time it was in a Greek Palace, Olympus to be exact. All the gods and goddesses were gathered in the throne room. Kris kneeled in front of the twelve gods and goddesses. They seemed to be discussing something, but she couldn't hear. Once the whispering stopped, Apollo stood. He walked towards the minor goddess and aimed an arrow at her. Apollo's lips seemed to speak the words 'sorry my love'. As Kris saw saw him say that, he released his arrow and a bright light flooded the room. When the light faded, there was nothing. Kris was gone, banished to the underworld for her treason against Zeus.

At the moment that the light faded the dream ended and Lilian woke up. She saw it was still dark outside and that she was by the window still. She got up, wiping the drool from her lip and walked over to her bed. She crawled under the covers and turned out the light. She fell asleep instantly.

Lilian woke up at about seven o'clock in the morning. She glanced around the room and walked over to the wooden desk and sat down. She picked up one of the multiple sketchbooks and opened it to a blank page. She found a pencil and drew a picture of a beautiful woman with shoulder length black hair. She wore the traditional white greek clothing. In her hand she held a sword. In the back, Lilian drew 12 thrones in a U shape. In them sat the Olympians. The sword in the womans hands was held up infront of her face like she could see her reflection. Once Lilian finished the main picture, she wrote on the blade of the sword 'Kristina, Daughter of Poseidon'. Lilian signed her name at the bottom and closed the sketchbook. She found a piece of notebook paper and quickly but neatly wrote a note on it. She grabbed a piece of double-sided tape and stuck it to the back of it. She set down gen;t yon her desk so she could pick it up again. She went and quickly changed into a pair of jeans shorts and a t-shirt. She picked up the note and walked out of her room and over to Violet's.

Lilian opened the door to her room and quickly walked in, closing the door behind her. She changed into her bright green bikini. She quickly wrote a note to herself and walked out of the room, back down stairs.

Kris walked into her room and stripped out of her wet bathing suit. She quickly found a pair jeans shorts and an old marching band shirt. She gets dressed and brushes her hair. Once she finishes she looks herself over and walks back down to the main house
